Dr. David C. Tobin, DPMM

For more than 25 years, Dr. David C. Tobin, founder of Carolina Foot and Ankle Specialists, continues to be recognized by his patients and the professional medical community for his skill, dedication and charmingly comfortable demeanor. His excellent word-of-mouth reputation leads to frequent guest appearances on talk show radio and gave rise to a thriving multi-office practice.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. David Tobin specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all foot and ankle conditions through all stages of life. He is an expert in the surgical treatment of deformities of the foot, its related structures, and the medical management of foot diseases. Many patients seen by Dr. Tobin are referred by family practice physicians, internists, or specialists in other fields who wish to have their patients treated by a doctor specifically trained in foot and ankle disorders.

Dr. Tobin is a graduate of Michigan State University and earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983. After completing his residency at Dearborn Medical Center in Michigan, Dr. Tobin found Raleigh, NC to be the ideal place to call home and grow his medical practice. Dr. Tobin first opened his door as “Foot Specialists of North Carolina” in 1984, and soon began to create the community and social ties that would become the foundation of his new home and future success.

Dr. Andrew P. Milner

Dr. Andrew P. Milner grew up in Pennsylvania and in 1982 he graduated with honors from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. In 1987, he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. From there Dr. Milner completed a two year surgical residency specializing in all phases of foot and ankle surgery at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.

After Residency, Dr. Milner joined Carolina Foot & Ankle specialists and specializes in foot and ankle surgery, pediatric foot and ankle problems, and sports medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as being certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Milner also donates his medical services to local clinics.

Dr. Milner is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the North Carolina Foot & Ankle Society. He is married and resides in Cary with his wife and four children. His hobbies include exercising, hunting and activities with his family. Dr. Milner is also a private pilot.
Dr. Thomas Stylski

Dr. Thomas Stylski grew up in Michigan. While running cross country in high school and college he developed chronic knee pain and sought care from a local podiatrist. After treatment from this physician and the use of orthotics, he was able to run pain free again. This determined his career path. Dr. Stylski is a 1984 graduate of Albion College in Albion, Michigan. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric medicine from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric medicine now known as the Temple College of Podiatric Medicine. From there, Dr. Stylski completed his residency at Southwest Detroit Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Stylski served three years as a Captain and Chief of Podiatry in the United States Air Force, based in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He joined Carolina Foot Specialists in 1992. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Stylski enjoys recreational running, golf, basketball and tennis. When he is not working he is very busy coaching his twin boys in football, basketball, baseball and golf. He lives in Cary with his wife and children.
Dr. James Hopkins

Dr. Hopkins was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Scranton and completed his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr.Hopkins completed a two-year surgical residency at the West Jersey Health System and joined Carolina Foot and Ankle Specialists in 1994. Dr. Hopkins resides in Raleigh with his wife.

Dr. Willard Neimi

Dr. Niemi is a native of Virginia, Minnesota. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth where he majored in biology and chemistry. Dr. Niemi received his doctorate from the University of Osteopathic Medicine, College for Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Des Moines Iowa. He completed his surgical residency at the VA Medical Center / Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven Connecticut. He completed his fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at VA Medical center / Yale New Haven Hospital / Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Niemi is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has published many articles in various medical journals and has been principal investigator on several clinical trials. He has lectured nationally and has designed new innovative medical devices. Dr. Niemi currently resides in Morrisville with his family. In his personal time he enjoys hockey, golf, spending time at the beach and hunting.
Dr. Nicholas D. Adams, DPM

Dr. Adams was born and raised in Yadkinville, North Carolina. He attended High Point University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. He also ran Cross Country and Track while at High Point University. Dr. Adams attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in May of 2010.

Dr. Adams completed a three year medical and surgical residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania. His residency consisted of extensive forefoot and rearfoot surgical training specializing in sports medicine, pediatrics, trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.

After residency, Dr. Adams practiced in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for almost two years before joining Carolina Foot and Ankle Specialists. Dr. Adams is a member of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Adams currently resides in Pittsboro, NC with his wife and daughter. He continues to enjoy running, playing basketball and spending time with his family.
